Another authentic English tin made by the Metal Box Company of Carlysle, England in the 1970's. These metal boxes were popular for holding stationery. The scene is of butterflies fitting between flowers. The tin dimensions are 9" long X 7" wide X 2 1/4" deep.

MT Shuksen Tin
In the northeastern corner of Washington State about 15 miles east of Mt Baker there is a very photographed mountain that is seldom see becasue of its extreme remoteness. Mt Shuksen is a wonderful tin that we manufactured over a decade ago for our holiday catalog. There are just a few copies of this tin left and it is definitely a limited edition item. Pom Pom Pullaway Tin
In many ways this is one of the finest tins made in the 1980's The tin is now collectable and has not been produced for at least 15 years. Vicenzo was the manufacturer and they went out of business after just three years in selling decorative tin. They made perfect tins and they left behind some terrific designs on these tins. This particular tin is colored with baked blue enamel on the inside surfaces and the outside finish is of the highest quality. The scene on the cover is a wonderful memory of my childhood - a time when I played/ice skated Pom Pom Pull Away in Wisconsin every youthful winter day at the age of 8 years old. Sledding Pals Tin
Two kids, one on a sled and one pulling his brother, are a wonderful example of a playful winter scene in our country. It reminds us of a simpler time when all we had to worry about was a call from mom that supper was on the table. This tin cover and body are hinged. That is very unusual because it requires a lot of hand labor on each tin to make the hinge. The tin is collectable and has not been made in over 20 years.
