Slicing Nuts
This is how we dice and slice nuts
The nut is usually too soft to slice when it is raw. So we need to make it a lot more brittle.
We do that by roasting the nut and then at a critical stage and tempoerature we put the nuts through a very expensive and sophisticated machine - the Urschel CC slicer.
That machine can slice 4,000 pounds of almonds an hour - much more than our needs. It is a precision stainless steel German machine - unrivaled worldwide.
